I keep it by my Shabbat candlesticks and whenever my "special" child gives me something new to worry about, I take a deep breath, walk over to the box and drop in a few coins. It helps me remember that, even if I can't control everything in my son's life, I can help make life easier for other kids who face developmental challenges.
